Allergies and Intolerances

At Donkey & Buskins, we take allergies and special dietary requirements very seriously. We want our customers to feel confident that we address their needs properly regarding allergies and intolerances.

Our chef team and management work closely with our suppliers and food safety partners to ensure that our information is accurate and up to date. To help us understand your needs, please inform the bar staff or server of any special dietary requirements you may have before you order.

Our recipes frequently change based on the availability of ingredients, so we ask that you check with us each time you visit to ensure you have the most current information. While we take great care in preparing your meal, we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment.

Additionally, we cannot guarantee against the processes used by our suppliers or products that may be made in environments with other allergens.

We will specify when an ingredient is included as part of a recipe; however, please be aware that dishes may still contain traces of other allergens. If you have any concerns, please speak with one of our staff members, who will always check and confirm with the chef team.

Helpful Information

G.F.

  • Our chips are G.F and we fry them in a separate fryer from other products to reduce the risk of cross-contamination

  • We stock G.F. bread which can be easily substituted for any ciabatta or bread on any of our main dishes

  • Any gravy or jus can be substituted for a G.F. gravy

  • G.F. ale is available from the bar to accompany your meal

Raw Meat

  • Our steaks and burgers are cooked to order.  Consuming raw or undercooked meats may increase your risk of foodborne illness an effects may be more severe in children pregnant women the elderly and those with weakened immune systems

  • If we have under cooked any meat for your liking please let us know as possible so that the chef team can correct this

Severe

  • If your allergy or intolerance is severe please highlight this to us.  Additional measures can be taken to prevent cross-contamination such as waiters using gloves after hand washing.
